Corinne is an extroverted engineer turned entrepreneur. She founded Rorus while completing her Master's in biomedical engineering from Carnegie Mellon University. She leads the company based on field experience in India, Ghana, and South Africa. On one of these trips, water project manager Scott Andes noted that while most employees visited tourist attractions, Cori spent her free time in local villages playing soccer and cooking with the community. Her combination of natural empathy and pragmatism directed the project to satisfy the end user's needs and constraints. These traits are critical to her specialty: the creation of technically superior solutions with the right social context for widespread adoption.
Uriel is an inventor and compulsive maker with more ideas than time. He's led R&D for two companies resulting in four products currently being made. As a traveler himself, he understands the need to design for extreme conditions and different cultures, and he personally stress-tests his own creations.
At Rorus, he employs his knowledge of production methods and rapid prototyping to create highly deployable and low-cost water filtration solutions. Uriel has a background in industrial design from Carnegie Mellon University with a focus on human-centered design. His hands-on learning style has led him to take up machining, composite designs and fabrication, glassblowing, ceramics, woodworking, blacksmithing, and sewing to name a few.
Kyle joined Rorus after co-founding another AlphaLab startup, Nebulus, in the music tech space. He studied entrepreneurship at Carnegie Mellon University and joined Rorus to fuel his passion for helping early-stage companies accelerate growth and reach critical milestones. Kyle has a strong passion for music and can often be seen rocking out in a swivel chair while working on Excel spreadsheets.
Suresh is a veteran of the water filter industry. During his 5 years at Vestergaard Frandsen, the makers of LifeStraw, he built a $60 million business unit across 28 countries in Asia. As an International Sales Manager at Cargill, India, he similarly built a $50 million business unit over 5 years. Suresh is a great fit at Rorus thanks to his complementary sales experience and his passion for fast results. He leads the Rorus Asia office in New Delhi and can be found trekking, golfing, and playing squash in his free time.
